Fixed Term Part Time Role.
The Department of Cancer Imaging is seeking the services of a qualified Sonographer .
The role is part time 32 hours per fortnight, fixed term for a duration of 12 months parental leave cover. This is 2 day per week position.
Cancer Imaging offers comprehensive imaging services at Parkville and East Melbourne. Services include Digital X-Ray, Ultrasound, MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, PET and a dedicated interventional suite.

- To co-lead the modality of expertise in the absence of the supervisor
- To assist in training if necessary

1. Perform successfully as a sonographer, and MIT if contractually specified |
Correctly produced imaging as per department protocols |
2. Participate in the care, maintenance and quality assurance of the equipment in the imaging department |
Quality control implementation for ultrasound equipment |
3. Attend and contribute to regular staff meetings |
Regular attendance at staff meetings |
4. Keep abreast of new imaging procedures, techniques and technology |
Documented participation in Continuing Professional Development activities |
5. Observe all relevant hospital and department policies and procedures |
Undertake programs and activities by People and Change and the Cancer Imaging department. Comply with Peter Mac and Cancer Imaging policies. |
6. Perform any other duties as directed by the Chief MIT |
Perform as an effective member of the Cancer Imaging team (to be assessed at annual performance review) |
