Grade 3 Senior Oncology Social Work Role
Permanent, part time opportunity (45 hrs per fortnight)
Preference for applicants able to work on Mondays / Fridays

What You Will Be Doing
There is an opportunity in the Social Work, Music Therapy, & Art Therapy team at Peter Mac to welcome a Grade 3 Senior Oncology Social Worker. As a Senior Social Worker, you will provide clinical leadership and team support to the social work team at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and work with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver excellence in clinical cancer care, education and research specific to the oncology social work field.
What You Will Need
Required
• A Qualifying Masters in Social Work. Post graduate studies are highly regarded and may be eligible for a higher education allowance.
• Eligibility for Australian Association of Social Work (AASW) membership
• Working with Children's Check
• Police Check
• Covid 19 & Influenza Vaccinations
• Exceptionally strong theoretical knowledge and specialist clinical expertise acquired over at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in the area of health social work, including cancer care, with clinically relevant postgraduate qualifications (or working towards).
• Demonstrated ability to provide expert clinical service, mentoring, and professional supervision of other employees.
• A capacity to initiate, engage and provide leadership in matters relating to quality improvement, evaluation, and service re-design, based on evidence-based practice.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• High level of negotiation, problem solving and analytical skills.
• High level of proactive planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent supervisory and teaching skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team.
• Innovative, adaptive, resourceful and able to drive change.
Desired
• Current professional affiliations with universities, research organisations or external service organisations
• Additional clinical training in therapeutic modalities, group work, and/or other relevant clinical training

Renumeration
As per the ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS (VICTORIAN PUBLIC SECTOR) (SINGLE INTEREST EMPLOYERS) ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2021-2026 for Salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience. Grade 3 Level 1 [SC31] $61,659 to Grade 3 Level 4 [SC34] $ 70,449.39.
