What You Will Be Doing
There is an opportunity in the Social Work, Music Therapy, & Art Therapy team at Peter Mac to welcome a Grade 1 Social Worker on a full time, permanent basis. As a Grade 1 Social Worker, you will be supported to develop your career in public health and work across both the inpatient and amublatory settings. You will receive regular supervision and additionally be supported to participate in seminars specifically designed to enhance your professional development as you learn and grow in your knowledge of the specific clinical skills needed in oncology social work. Grade 1 Social Workers work collaboratively as part of interdisciplinary teams to provide excellent, world-class cancer care through oncology- specific psychosocial assessments, clinical interventions, risk assessment and response, discharge planning, and community resource linkages.
Grade 1 Social Workers are supported by dedicated Grade 2 and Grade 3 Senior Social Workers.
What You Will Need
Required
• A Bachelor's Degree or Qualifying Masters in Social Work. Post graduate studies are highly regarded and may be eligible for a higher education allowance.
• Eligibility for Australian Association of Social Work (AASW) membership
• Working with Children's Check
• Police Check
• Covid 19 & Influenza Vaccinations

Renumeration
As per the ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS (VICTORIAN PUBLIC SECTOR) (SINGLE INTEREST EMPLOYERS) ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2021-2026 for Salary range. Grade 1 Year 2 [SC12] $70,590.00 to Grade 1 Year 6 [SC16] $85,872.80. Based on years of experience.
