•    Full-time, ongoing role

•    $89,000 to $94,000 + salary packaging + super + 5 weeks’ annual leave + monthly ADOs
 
The Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation is the fundraising arm of Peter Mac. The Foundation accelerates life-saving cancer research by enabling people across Australia to provide critical funding for innovative projects, helping researchers discover new ways to prevent, detect and treat cancer. About the role
As the Regular Giving Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of Peter Mac’s regular giving program, our Discovery Partners. This key program engages tens of thousands of people across Australia and is growing year on year.
The Regular Giving Lead plays a key role in monitoring and improving the experience of regular donors throughout their journey with the Foundation, including acquisition, retention, growth and offboarding. The role is responsible for managing service level standards, data security and privacy, as well as delivering operational plans and managing budgets.
This key role is responsible for maximising fundraising results within the regular giving portfolio, such as:
•    Acquiring new regular givers via face-to-face, phone and digital campaigns
•    Maximising retention through best-in-class communications and events
•    Leading the Regular Giving team
•    Monitoring and adjusting performance

About you
You will be someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to build strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. 
You’ll bring with you:
•    A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fundraising role, preferably with direct experience in a mature regular giving program
•    Experience in the analysis and improvement of customer/supporter experience
•    Demonstrated leadership skills, and able to foster positive stakeholder relationships
•    Strong problem-solving skills, and a growth mindset
•    Strong data-management, analytical and reporting skills
•    Experience with managing suppliers

Position Summary

The Regular Giving Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the Regular Giving program at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation. This key program engages tens of thousands of people across Australia, and is growing year on year.
The RG Lead plays a key role in monitoring and improving the experience of regular donors throughout their journey with the Foundation, including acquisition, retention, growth and offboarding. The role is responsible for managing service level standards, data security and privacy, as well as delivering operational plans and managing budgets.
The role is responsible for overseeing the Regular Giving (RG) portfolio, which includes:
Maximising Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation’s gross and net revenue through the acquisition, growth and retention of regular givers via face-to-face (F2F), phone, digital, mail, SMS and email campaigns and communications, as well as in-person and virtual events.

  • Leading the Regular Giving team, including the management of two Regular Giving Coordinators.
  • Monitoring and reporting on performance of the overall regular giving program to aid acquisition, growth and retention tactics to maximise revenue.
  • Manage budgets and suppliers across RG programs, and monitor income and expenses against budgets and forecasts.
  • Collaborating with teams across the Foundation to grow and retain income through conversion to and from other offers.
  • Fostering and managing positive relationships with key stakeholders including donors, service providers, team members and other Peter Mac staff.

1. Management of Regular Giving acquisition, growth and retention campaigns and activities • Oversees Regular Giving acquisition campaigns across F2F, telemarketing, direct mail and digital, working with Regular Giving Coordinators to effectively manage these programs
• Achieves donor acquisition targets in line with budget objectives, forecast timelines and contracted performance metrics
• Advises Regular Giving Coordinators and the Digital Individual Giving Coordinator on creative execution and conversion scripting for digital and phone campaigns
• Ensures upgrade campaigns are executed to goal metrics
• Regularly attends PFRA meetings and other industry events
2. Leadership & staff management • Effectively manages the Regular Giving team, providing leadership and guidance to team members
• Fosters a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging professional growth and development
• Supports learning and continuous improvement within team
• Contributes to the development of strategies, budgets and operational plans
3. Program reporting and analysis • Delivers consistent and accurate monthly reporting of key performance areas, including number of active, delinquent, terminated, average gift and cost per acquisition
• Monitors KPIs (age, average gift, volumes) and undertakes remedial action if KPIs fall
• Ensures donors with payment declines are consistently followed up in line with Discovery Partner service level standards
• Produces and analyses donor experience maps, and regularly reviews them to generate incremental program improvements as required
4. Donor experience design and optimisation • Works with the Individual Giving Manager and Direct Marketing staff to design integrated communication and donor care plans
• Monitors and regularly reviews the Discovery Partner welcome process
• Ensures Regular Giving service level standards are adhered to
• Ensures donor care activities support program retention, delinquency and income objectives
• Demonstrates the timely and efficient execution of delinquency processes to maximise RG revenue and ROI
5. Adherence to policy and legislative compliance • Ensures donors are acquired in line with all relevant legislative policies
• Monitors adherence of suppliers to PFRA and FIA policies, to minimise negative feedback from donors and members of the public
• Ensures all feedback is responded to in a timely fashion, recorded and effectively handled in line with relevant policies
• Works collaboratively with the Business Manager and Communications staff to ensure consistency in PMCC messaging, brand and policies
• Monitors data management and cybersecurity requirements to ensure data privacy and security
• F2F Marketing messaging, product and sales approach are compliant with PMCC brand and policy
