About the Foundation
The Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation is the fundraising arm of Peter Mac. The Foundation accelerates life-saving cancer research by providing critical funding for innovative projects, enabling researchers to discover new ways to prevent, detect and treat cancer. Donor support empowers our people to translate breakthroughs from the lab into real-world treatments that improve outcomes for patients and their families.
 

About the role
The Foundation is seeking an experienced Fundraising Coordinator to support our donor and income growth. In this role you will be responsible for achieving acquisition targets of regular givers (monthly donors), through face-to-face (F2F), telemarketing and digital channels. You’ll also be responsible for executing and improving activities to retain regular givers, including donor care and declines communications, and upgrade and reactivation campaigns.
 

Key responsibilities will see you:
•    Manage the F2F acquisition program, including supplier targets, contract compliance, recruiter quality, and donor interactions
•    Oversee program administration such as sales, batch, invoice reconciliation, and day-to-day stakeholder management
•    Coordinate and develop regular giving collateral and communications across direct mail, digital, and telemarketing channels
•    Deliver data-driven insights and analysis to support acquisition, retention, delinquency management, and ROI optimisation

About you
You will be someone with excellent communication, collaboration and negotiation skills, who is able to build strong partnerships and deliver programs that inspire lasting donor support.
 

You’ll bring to this role:
•    Demonstrated fundraising experience, with experience and proven success in direct marketing or regular giving fundraising
•    Sound knowledge of databases, preferably fundraising databases, in particular Blackbaud CRM
•    Excellent program reporting and analytical abilities, especially in regular giving
•    Sound knowledge of fundraising legislation, practices and philosophy of charitable giving

Position Summary

  • Maximise Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation's gross and net revenue through the acquisition of regular donors via face-to-face (F2F), phone and digital acquisition campaigns.
  • Coordinate and administer all aspects of an outsourced F2F Regular Giving (RG) donor acquisition program including; supplier donor acquisition targets, sales, batch and invoice reconciliation, complaint handling, contract compliance, recruiter quality control and day-to-day communications.
  • Support the acquisition of RG donors via phone and digital campaigns through ongoing monitoring, quality control and day-to-day communications with external suppliers.
  • Provide accurate and timely analysis of the overall RG program to aid RG acquisition, retention and delinquency tactics and to maximize revenue.
  • Coordinate regular direct mail and telemarketing communications to existing monthly donors to maximize long-term net income and return on investment (ROI).
  • Foster and manage positive relationships with key stakeholders including donors, service providers, team members and other Peter Mac staff.

2. Support the acquisition of RG donors via Phone and Digital campaigns through ongoing monitoring, quality control and day-to-day communications with external suppliers.
  • Average gift, age, delinquency and retention rates consistently evaluated in line with agreed contract and budget objectives.
  • Liaise with service providers and Digital Coordinators to provide relevant feedback into creative execution and appropriately link to conversion scripting for digital / phone campaigns.
  • Donor acquisition targets achieved in line with budget objectives and forecast timelines.
  • Results reconciled and monitored against service provider contracts and PMCF budget targets, and results accurately recorded and reported to key stakeholders.
  • Donors acquired in line with all relevant legislative policies.
  • Training, tours and recruitment resources provided to service providers as contracted and as required to support acquisition objectives.
  • Complaints minimised and responded to in a timely fashion, recorded and effectively handled in line with Peter Mac complaints and risk policy.

3. Coordination and development of F2F and RG collateral to achieve RG donor acquisition and retention targets and objectives.
  • Multi-channel RG collateral developed and produced in a timely manner to meet program objectives and remain consistent with Peter Mac brand and policy.
  • RG collateral volumes meet objectives across all recruitment channels.
  • Feedback from Communications Manager.

  • Timely and efficient execution of delinquency process, RG revenue maximised and effective ROI demonstrated.
  • Feedback from service providers and Supporter Engagement.
  • Upgrade and reactivation program monitoring.
  • Assumptions calculated and outcomes measured.
  • Increased revenue.
6. Foster and coordinate positive relationships with key stakeholders including donors, service providers, shopping centres, councils, Foundation team members and other Peter Mac staff.
