Registered Nurse - ICU Outreach
Casual Role - Multiple Positions Considered
The ICU Outreach Nurse provides clinical support to nursing and medical staff in caring for patients who have higher acuity/critical care needs. As an ICU Outreach Nurse, you are also a part of Peter Mac's High Acuity Team (HAT), working alongside a HAT Registrar, responding to all medical emergency calls within Peter Mac. This is a senior nursing role that is an integral link in the transition of patient care between Royal Melbourne Hospital ICU and the Peter Mac wards.
The successful candidate must be a Registered Nurse Division 1 with at least 5 years ICU experience, has a Post Graduate qualification in Critical Care/Intensive Care Nursing and certification in Advanced Life Support 2. Experience in oncology care is highly desirable. Applicants to this role should provide a covering letter outlining relative key skills and experience to assist us with our assessment.

Position Summary
As a Registered Nurse at Peter Mac you are responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal healthcare outcomes for our patients.
The Registered Nurse is a key member of the health care team responsible for ensuring nursing professional, organization, legal and ethical standards are met. The Registered Nurse communicates within the multidisciplinary teams, and is responsible for supervising and delegating to other health care professionals such as Enrolled Nurses and Registered Undergraduate Students of Nursing (RUSON).
