THE OPPORTUNITY

 

Cancer Imaging is seeking Registered Nurses with experience in medical imaging, cardiac catheter lab, operating theatre, oncology, or surgical nursing seeking change and willing to expand on their current capability. The position offers an exciting opportunity to upskill in both imaging procedural practice and oncology nursing.

We are seeking Full Time or Part Time Registered Nurses with the following skills:

 

  • Recent experience in Imaging, Radiology, Cath Lab, Operating Theatre/Day Surgery or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years recent acute experience
  • An interest in procedural based nursing
  • Commitment to being rostered on call once skilled in angiography/fluoroscopy, ultrasound and other interventional procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to life long learning and continuing professional development
  • Capable of providing patient focussed approach to care
  • Demonstrated team player attituide who can foster collaborative partnerships

Position Summary

As a Registered Nurse at Peter Mac you are responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal healthcare outcomes for our patients. The Registered Nurse is a key member of the health care team responsible for ensuring nursing professional, organization, legal and ethical standards are met. The Registered Nurse is responsible for supervising and delegating to other health care professionals such as Enrolled Nurses and Registered Undergraduate Students of Nursing (RUSON).

  • Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems

 

Desirable Requirements

 

  • Oncology nursing experience
  • Medical imaging experience
  • Post graduate qualification in area of specialty
