About the role:
As a member of the Casual Nurse Bank, you will be allocated shifts across various departments at our Parkville campus based on organisational needs and your availability. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, patient-centred care.
We are particularly interested in nurses with:
• Chemotherapy administration skills and/or
• Experience working in oncology or haematology settings
What you'll need:
• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 12 months’ recent experience in an acute medical or surgical setting
• Ability to commit to a minimum of 5 shifts per fortnight
• Demonstrated teamwork and a commitment to safe, high-quality care
• Competence with electronic medical records and basic computer skills
• Up-to-date immunisation status
• (Desirable) Postgraduate qualification in oncology or related specialty

Position Summary
As a Registered Nurse at Peter Mac you are responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal healthcare outcomes for our patients.
The Registered Nurse is a key member of the health care team responsible for ensuring nursing professional, organization, legal and ethical standards are met. The Registered Nurse is responsible for supervising and delegating to other health care professionals such as Enrolled Nurses and Registered Undergraduate Students of Nursing (RUSON).
The Nurse Bank role is a flexible role that sees the staff member working across multiple departments within Peter Mac at Parkville or our radiotherapy sites at Box Hill or Moorabbin.
Allocation of shifts to Nurse bank staff will be managed by the Peter Mac Nursing Workforce Unit. Shifts will be allocated according to organisational need based on staff requirements, submitted availabilities and confirmation of booking.
