YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE
We are seeking a senior Radiation therapist with significant brachytherapy experience to lead our Radiation therapy Brachytherapy unit.
The Brachytherapy Unit lead Radiation therapist works collaboratively with the RTS site manager and multi-disciplinary Brachytherapy team to lead and co-ordinate the Brachytherapy service at the Parkville campus. The role holds significant clinical responsibility for ensuring service quality; as such we invite applications from Radiation therapists with significant Brachytherapy experience.
The successful applicant will lead and participate in research and development, maintain Brachytherapy unit policies and procedural guidelines and maintain a heavy focus on staff training to ensure an excellent patient service.

Position Summary
- Supports, coordinates and leads clinical services, innovation and research within the RTS brachytherapy service.
- Works in consultation with the RTS site manager regarding operational aspects of the brachytherapy service.
- Develops and publishes comprehensive policy for RT clinical processes of the brachytherapy service and regularly reviews/revises policy to ensure its currency.
- Overviews procedural compliance with the published clinical policy.
- Develops and maintains educational/training materials related to brachytherapy published on the organisational learning platform.
- Provides expertise and leadership in technical aspects of service delivery.
- Provides patient focused radiation therapy planning & treatment.
- Develops and maintains a positive and safe work environment.
