Grade 2 Clinical Psychologist
Casual Role

 

We are seeking Grade 2 Clinical Psychologists to join our team on a casual basis.  This role offers the opportunity to work flexibly within the field of psychosocial oncology in a dynamic supportive clinical environment.  

 

Tasks include conducting triage and assessment as well as the opportunity to provide psychological intervention for patients with cancer in both outpatient and inpatient settings. 

 

The position provides an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated applicant, who values flexibility and wants to contribute to patient-centred psycho oncology care within a hospital setting. You will receive an orientation to the service and broader hospital as well as regular support and access to resources and educational opportunities, 

 

In line with the Enterprise agreement Medical Scientists, Pharmacists and Psychologists (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025 Salary range between $47.81 - $54.10 per hour, based on years of experience.

 

Successful candidates will possess:
•    An APAC approved postgraduate qualification to Masters or Doctorate level in Clinical Psychology
•    Full registration with the Psychologists Board of Australia
•    Endorsement / or working towards endorsement in Clinical Psychology area of practice
•    Clinical experience in working in a hospital setting
•    Good communication and interpersonal skills
•    Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
•    The role is on a casual basis and work availability will be dependent on service demand. 
 
The position reports directly to the psychology Manager with clinical oversight /supervision provided by senior clinical psychologists.

  • Assists Senior Psychologists with the postgraduate provisional psychologist program
