Project Manager - Clinical Placement Program in Cancer Survivorship
Fixed Term, Part Time Role (64 – 76 Hours per Fortnight)

 

This Project Manager will lead the delivery of the Clinical Placement Program in Cancer Survivorship (CPPiCS). This is a Victorian Government funded statewide program that aims to build knowledge and capacity of health professionals in survivorship care. The program is funded through to September 2027.
This role will be based within the Australian Cancer Survivorship Centre (ACSC). This is an exciting time to join the ACSC, as we lead survivorship activities outlined in the Victorian Cancer Plan 2024-2028. The ACSC prioritise a diverse and inclusive culture and offer workplace flexibility.

Cancer survivors need ongoing, quality care that extends beyond acute treatment. This role will improve access to survivorship care for Victorians by building the knowledge and confidence of health professionals across regional, primary care, community and rehabilitation settings. You'll lead a state-wide program that creates real change in how survivorship care is delivered.

 

Essential selection criteria
Education and professional background
•    Tertiary qualification in healthcare, education, public policy or related field
•    Minimum of 3 years’ experience in cancer care
•    Minimum 2 years project management experience in healthcare environments
 
Technical skills and knowledge
•    Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and methodologies
•    Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training and education programs to health professionals and consumers
•    Demonstrated experience supporting and managing projects end to end, including supporting and delegating to Project Administrators
•    Experience with quality improvement frameworks in health settings
•    Knowledge of change management principles and practices
•    Proven ability to analyse data and prepare comprehensive reports
•    Experience with online platforms such as online learning management systems (Moodle), customer relationship management systems (Acuity), Mailchimp, survey monkey, social media platforms, video conferencing tools, Microsoft Office suite
 
 Communication and interpersonal skills
•    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
•    Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with diverse professional groups
•    Experience facilitating meetings and workshops with multiple stakeholders
•    Proven relationship-building skills across organisational boundaries

Position Summary

The Project Manager will lead the delivery of the 5th iteration of the Clinical Placement Program in Cancer Survivorship. This Department of Health funded, state-wide program is coordinated by ACSC and is open to health professionals from allied health and cancer/primary nursing disciplines with deliberate inclusion of regional, primary care, community and rehabilitation services.

The program's aim is to improve access to quality survivorship care for cancer survivors across Victoria by enhancing the knowledge and confidence of health professionals who provide this care. The program is funded until September 2027.

This role requires project and stakeholder management skills, as well as an understanding of adult education in the oncology context. The role will also support other survivorship education activities led by the ACSC.
