About the team

The Medical Workforce Unit (MWU) is a dedicated team within the People and Culture Department. MWU is responsible for providing strategic and operational service, supporting the employment of medical staff and the medical workforce needs of Peter Mac.  Specifically, it provides administrative management support to the Chief Medical Officer, Medical Directors, Department and Unit Heads in the recruitment, contracting, onboarding and rostering of medical staff at Peter Mac.

 

About the role

In the People and Culture Coordinator - Medical Workforce position you will play a vital role in supporting our medical staff, and be responsible for providing efficient and effective administrative services that support the MWU.

A regular day will see you:

  • Coordinate and process medical staff timesheet and overtime claims
  • Coordinate and process the end-to-end Credentialing requirements for medical specialists
  • Process salary recovery invoices
  • Process new starter requirements for onboarding in SuccessFactors
  • Process terminations in SuccessFactors
  • Process Continuing Medical Education claims in consultation with the Manager and the Chief Medical Officer

About you

You will be someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to build strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.  You’ll be able to handle sensitive matters with discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality, and prioritise effectively within in a busy team work environment to meet deadlines.

You’ll bring with you:

  • Experience in a similar role in the public or private sector
  • Knowledge of computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite and SuccessFactors
  • Demonstrate knowledge of, or the ability to learn, a payroll software package and credentialing software
  • An understanding and proficiency in spreadsheeting, including to filter views and basic formulas
  • Knowledge of, or the ability to learn medical terminology
  • HR, payroll or recruitment experience (preferred)

Under the direction of the Manager Medical Workforce Unit key responsibilities include:
