The People and Culture team at Peter Mac includes Human Resources, Employee Relations, Occupational Health and Safety, Wellbeing, HR Systems, Medical Workforce and Organisational Development. About the role
As a People & Culture Business Partner you will be accountable for ensuring your client partnerships deliver outstanding HR services, which support our organisational goal for the world’s best cancer care workforce. You’ll work collaboratively with leaders across our organisation to understand their needs, and through effective workforce strategies, deliver tangible outcomes in line with our priorities and accountabilities.
Key responsibilities will see you:
- Provide a quality, responsive and client-focused business partnering service, with a focus on workplace culture and performance, recruitment, employee relations/industrial relations and change management
- Work with the organisational development and divisional leadership teams to assist with staff training and development, professional development, career development opportunities and succession planning
- Mentor and support People & Culture Advisors and Administrators and other P&C colleagues
- Contribute to policy development, enterprise bargaining processes and implementation of P&C projects

You’ll bring with you:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in managing a client portfolio, providing effective HR advice and practice, ideally within the health sector
- An understanding of business principles, continuous improvement and key organisational performance indicators
- Both strategic and operational HR capabilities and the ability to manage change projects
- The ability to manage, negotiate and influence employment/industrial matters in a complex environment
- Significant experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
- Proficient use of systems, data and reporting

Position Summary
This role focusses on workplace culture and performance, providing proactive advice and partnering with managers and staff to create an environment that supports building capability. The role develops effective working relationships with all staff whilst modelling the values and behaviours of the organisation. This role is responsible for People and Culture partnering across specific client groups in the organisation, focusing on collaborative partnerships and building internal management capability. The role provides expert Employee Relations/Industrial Relations advice, supports change management and facilitates organisational development initiatives. This role positively contributes to developing and guiding the strategic direction of the People and Culture team.
