Full time opportunity for candidate looking to start or continue to develop their career in Australian payroll, builing an understanding of awards and enterprise agreement interpretation.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Full Time Payroll Officer to be part of a dynamic Payroll team and part of the People and Culture department at Peter Mac. The role is to provide timely and accurate delivery of payroll services to a workforce of 4,000 employees.
To be successful in this role, applicants should demonstrate the following:

An ability to understand the Australian payroll process
-
Payroll system experience using Success Factor would be looked on favourably
-
Ability to work as part of a cohesive payroll team, in a dynamic and fast paced environment
-
Exposure to interpreting multiple Awards and Enterprise Agreements
-
A high attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to prioritise work to meet critical processing time frames
-
Excellent customer service skills
-
Health Industry experience is desirable

Education
Skills
• Demonstrated SAP Payroll Processing experience (3-5 Years preferred)
• Responding to payroll enquiries with excellent customer service approach
• Experience in high volume payroll environment
• Teamwork: demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of high performance team
• Understands and demonstrates payroll function and need for timely and accurate processing, with a high attentional to detail and accuracy.
Desirable Requirements
• An excellence mindset and ability to adapt and perform in a high pressure operational environment
• Organised, analytical and problem solving with a focus on process improvement
• Trustworthy with an understanding of confidentiality of all employee data
