Casual Patient Services Assistant Level 2 - Multiple Positions Available!
The PSA position works closely with local health professionals and administrative staff to support the patients journey and experience of care by providing a range of patient and environmental support services including:
• Maintaining a high standard of cleaning and housekeeping to support infection control and patient comfort
• Transporting patients and/or equipment between departments in a timely manner
• Maintaining the clinical environment by replenishing stock, changing bed linen, disposing of waste, putting new stock away
• General ward support including errand running, fetch and carry, tidying up equipment to ensure items are put back where they should be
• assisting relevant health professionals to monitor patient welfare and comfort in patient bed rooms, lounges and waiting rooms
About the Role
Casual Hours per Fortnight - Up to 76 F/N.
Position reports to PSA CO-ORDINATOR
PSA certificate (Cert III in Health Services Assistance) is required for this role.
Remuneration as per Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025 – Patient Services Assistant Level 2 (PS25) $60,606.00 (full time equivalent – prorated for casual employment).

Essential Requirements | •Certificate III in Health Services Assistance •Ability to empathise with and provide a high standard of care and customer service to all patients carers visitors and staff •Excellent communication skills •Ability to multitask and prioritise workload •Ability to maintain the cleanliness and order of clinical service areas •Ability to undertake comprehensive cleans when required •Ability to work independently or within a team •Ability to follow SOPs in order to ensure high service standards and safe working practices/OH and S •Contribute to a safe work environment to a standard that exceeds the Cleaning Standards for Victorian Health Facilities •Good communication skills •Ability to read and write English •Demonstrated ability to empathise with patients •Ability to work as a team member in a multidisciplinary environment •Ability to accept and follow direction •Ability to take initiative in prioritising workload •Previous experience as a PSA or hospital cleaner •Neat personal presentation and hygiene |
