YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE
Operations Director – Ambulatory Services
Ongoing, Full-Time | 80 hours per fortnight + monthly ADO
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

 

An exciting opportunity exists for an exceptional leader to join Peter Mac as Operations Director – Ambulatory Services.

 

In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for the operational performance and delivery of high-quality care across the Ambulatory Division, working in close partnership with the Clinical Director of Ambulatory Services and Deputy Director of Nursing (Ambulatory).

 

Key areas of responsibility include:
• Day Therapy
• Peter Mac @ Home
• Specialist Clinics (ECHO Lab, Respiratory Lab, See & Treat, Diabetes Nurse Educator) and Outpatient Pathology
• Specialist Clinics Administration
• Dental Oncology
• Familial Cancer Centre
• Symptom and Urgent Review Clinic (SURC)
• Patient Navigators
• Internal Medicine

 

You will lead the delivery of safe, high-quality clinical services while ensuring efficient patient access and flow, strong financial performance, and effective business and operational planning. The role also oversees contractual and administrative functions across the division.

You are an experienced and values-driven leader with a strong track record of building and leading high-performing teams in complex healthcare environments. You bring:
•    A relevant health degree
•    Significant senior leadership experience in public health services
•    Demonstrated ability to drive service excellence, operational performance, and patient-centred care

Position Summary

The Operations Director Ambulatory Services is responsible for the performance and operational delivery of care at Peter Mac across the Ambulatory Division in partnership with the Clinical Director of Ambulatory.

The Operations Director will lead the delivery of safe high quality clinical services, efficient patient access and flow, budget development and financial performance, quality and business planning, contractual, and administrative functions of the Division.
Importantly the position will have key responsibility for delivering operational, quality, workforce and financial performance targets across the Division.
