YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE
Ongoing, Full Time Role – Occupational Therapist Grade 2
- 80 hours per fortnight
- Parkville location
- Salary between $90,235 to $103,724 depending on experience
We are seeking a dynamic Grade 2 Occupational Therapist to deliver exceptional care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a world-class oncology setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient wellbeing and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, patient-centred occupational therapy services to individuals with complex oncology needs.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored intervention plans to support patients' functional independence and quality of life.
- Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and allied health teams to ensure integrated, holistic care.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and student supervision.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Bachelor or Masters of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) with current AHPRA registration.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience, preferably within an acute hospital or oncology setting.
- Strong clinical reasoning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Passion for delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.

Position Summary
Provide acute inpatient and outpatient management and treatment for Peter Mac patients (Melbourne campus and satellites)
Play an assistant role in the clinical leadership of the occupational therapy team and provide an excellent standard of patient care within the specialist area of oncological practice
Assist with facilitating and implementing the departmental priorities of professional development, research and quality activities and to ensure that these consistently inform clinical activity
