YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE
Grade 1 Occupational Therapist (Graduate Program 2026)
- Full-Time, Fixed-Term Role (2/2/26 - 31/1/27)
- 80 hours per fortnight, including an ADO
An exciting opportunity exists for a 2025 new graduate occupational therapist to join the Peter Mac Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, and Podiatry Department.
This role offers the chance to work in a world-class oncology setting, rotating through medical oncology, surgical oncology, and haematology wards while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality acute occupational therapy services to Peter Mac patients.
• Provide patient-centred care within the specialist area of oncology.
• Assist in discharge planning, goal setting, and developing ongoing care plans.
• Implement and evaluate treatment plans, maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
• Support departmental professional development, research, and quality initiatives to ensure evidence-based best practices.
The Successful Candidate Will Possess:
• Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) with current AHPRA registration.
• Completed occupational therapist entry level qualification in 2025
• Strong clinical reasoning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Passion for evidence-based, patient-focused occupational therapy care.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Remuneration as per Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2026. Grade 1: Year 1 VE8 $70,590.00 (full time equivalent) to Year 5 VF3 to $85,872.80 (full-time equivalent) dependent on candidate experience. To be discussed with Hiring Manager.

Position Summary
To provide acute inpatient and outpatient management and treatment for Peter Mac patients
