  • Up to $90,235.6 (Grade 2, Year 1, CJ7) - $103,724.40 (Grade 2, Year 4, CT7) per annum.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you a creative Nuclear Medicine Technologist who is inspired by cutting-edge research?  If so, this is your opportunity to join our team Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. We are seeking a highly motivated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team with a full time, ongoing Grade 2 Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Grade 2, Year 1 CJ7 - Grade 2, Year 4 CT7) position available immediately. The successful candidate will work as part of a large multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality patient care performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.

 

THE DEPARTMENT/UNIT

With access to state-of-the-art facilities, including one of the world’s most advanced Total Body PET/CT scanners, you'll be at the forefront of revolutionizing molecular imaging and improving cancer diagnostics. The team operates 3 PET/CT Scanners, 2 SPECT/CT scanners and performs over 1000 radionuclide therapy treatments per year.  The team is actively involved in numerous trials including imaging novel PET and Therapy tracers.

 

You will be supported by a clinical education team enabling you to gain experience in PET/CT, radiopharmaceutical preparation and administration, cold lab procedures, SPECT/CT and radionuclide therapy. You will also have the opportunity to participate and attend a variety of regular education sessions including scientific meetings and multidisciplinary meetings.

Position Summary

Working as part of the Molecular Imaging team to deliver the best possible clinical service for our patients and their referrers.

  • Perform all duties of a Grade 1 NMT when required.
  • Practice with increased competence, relying on a greater depth of knowledge and experience
  • Provide supervision in certain rostered areas of the Department
  • Support Grade 4 Lead NMT’s and Chief NMT in maintaining Department goals of service provision, quality and safety
