Medical Imaging Technologist Grade 4 - CT
Ongoing, Full-Time Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic senior medical imaging technologist to join our team as the Medical Imaging Technologist - CT with an ongoing Grade 4 full time position available. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the leadership team supporting the Chief MIT to oversee the safe clinical operations relating to CT.
The CT service operates over two campuses (Parkville and East Melbourne) performing approximately 16,000 CT scans per year.
The position is accountable for the development and delivery of high-quality specialist oncology CT services (Parkville and East Melbourne) and provides leadership through evidence based clinical practice, research and service development consistent with the strategic goals of Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
Requirements of the Role
Essential
•A minimum of ten years’ experience in an area relevant to the position
•Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and management in a multidisciplinary setting
•AHPRA registration
•Victorian DHHS Radiation Use licence,
•Police check and WWCC
Desirable
•Great communication and teamwork skills.
•Ability to oversee a busy CT area, and able to prioritize acute workload
•To use high end state of the art CT scanners to provide optimal imaging for each individual patient.
•Provide guidance in research topics in CT Imaging
•Lead by example
•Maintain high quality assurance within the CT department

Remuneration as per Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2026 - Medical Imaging Technologist Grade 4 Year 1 (AF31) $126,079.20 per annum (full-time equivalent) to Medical Imaging Technologist Grade 4 Year 4 (AF34) $138,928.40 per annum (full-time equivalent) dependent on candidate experience. Position Summary

The Medical Imaging Technologist - CT should be kept up to date in the relevant changes in CT technology and advances in CT imaging. Essential Requirements | •Recognised tertiary qualification in Medical Imaging Technology •Current AHPRA registration •Be able to perform complex CT examinations for oncology-based referrals •Be able to keep up with the latest technology and protocols to stay at world’s best imaging practice •Keep up with the latest trends in CT development and technology •Be able to communicate within your team and other stakeholders •Commitment to continuous quality improvement, ongoing education, training, research and customer focus •Pay attention to Quality performance in this area •Work in collaboration with Medical Physicists in calibrating doses and making sure the ALARA principle is utilised in Pater Mac Cancer Imaging protocols. |
