Linux Systems Administrator
- Ongoing, Full-Time position
- 80 hours per fortnight with monthly ADO's
- $74,448.40 - $82,305.60 AUD p.a. depending on experience
We are seeking applicants that possess excellent troubleshooting skills, have a background or an interest in computational biology and have a passion for Linux, learning and helping others.
The successful applicant will be required to assist with the following tasks:
- The administration, maintenance and technical support of Linux computer systems and platforms managed by the Research Computing Facility.
- The configuration and administration of a SLURM Computing Cluster.
- Ensuring that the Linux Computing ICT infrastructure is maintained and functioning as required.
- Ensuring that all software infrastructure is maintained at an acceptable and consistent level of performance through regular optimization.
- Ensuring the security of Research Computing Facility systems and software through regular updates, management of authorization and authentication systems and log analysis.
- Onboarding of new users, including account creation. Training of new and current staff on the software and systems provided by the Research Computing Facility.
- Installation and configuration of tools and software within the environment.
- Support for users on day-to-day research, software, and data management issues and other tasks as specified by the Lead Systems Administrator - Research Computing Facility.
