Food & Domestic Services Attendant
Multiple Casual Positions Available | Up to 76 Hours Per Fortnight
Reports to: Food Services Supervisor and Head Chef
Are you passionate about food service and delivering exceptional care? We’re looking for dedicated Food & Domestic Services Attendants to join our dynamic team and contribute to providing nourishing meals in a healthcare setting.
About the Role
As a valued member of our kitchen team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our food services. Your responsibilities will include assisting with meal preparation, understanding patient dietary requirements, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
This role requires:
• A strong understanding of kitchen processes and patient menu items
• Knowledge of food safety practices and safe food handling techniques
• The ability to support basic kitchen operations with care and efficiency
You will work closely with our Food Services Supervisor and Head Chef, ensuring every meal meets the nutritional and dietary needs of our patients.

Position Summary
Food and Domestic Service Attendants are responsible for safe food preparation, patient/customer service, cleaning and the delivery of food is accordance with Petermac kitchen policies, procedure and the food safety plan.
To be flexible and undertake different FSA positions on a day to day bases when needed. Which includes:
- Sandwich making / food preparation
- Washing and clearing dishes
- General Cleaning/sanitization
- Delivery/pick up to and from wards
- Kitchen organization
- Making dietary drinks
- Tray set and dishing
- Texture modified food
