Facility Attendant Grade 1 - Animal Facilities

Our Cancer Research Division is currently seeking a part time Facility Attendance (Service Technician) to join our multi-disciplinary and dynamic Animal Facility Core.

 

The principle responsibilities are to ensure that sterilisation and sanitation are undertaken to a high standard, whilst adhering to strict BioSecurity barrier controls. The position works closely with animal technicians as well as research staff and students. You will support the team leaders and managers on issues of compliance, animal welfare and assist with the daily activities and maintenance of the facility.

 

Selection Criteria:

The successful applicant will need to possess and demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Commitment to ethical treatment of animals
  • Good communication, organisation and teamwork skills
  • High level of reliability 

 

The successful candidate will have a basic understanding of facility operations and the importance of maintaining high standards of sterilisation and sanitation.
