Digital Strategist – Foundation
Ongoing, Full-Time Role

 

The Digital Strategist will play a key role in transforming the Foundation’s online presence. This role will be responsible for developing and executing an organisation-wide digital strategy. You will work across all fundraising programs to identify opportunities to enhance existing digital activities and engage online audiences to drive growth across the Foundation’s digital channels and support our fundraising efforts. This role will also lead the introduction of new digital initiatives to generate results and enhance efficiencies.  
 
This role is a full-time, ongoing position reporting into the Communications Manager.
 

Remuneration between $85,000.00 per annum (full-time equivalent) and $95,000.00 per annum (full-time equivalent) depending on candidates experience and qualifications. To be discussed with Hiring Manager.

Position Summary

The Digital Strategist will develop and execute an organisation-wide digital strategy to transform the Foundation’s online presence. This role will work across all fundraising programs to identify opportunities to enhance existing digital activities and engage online audiences to drive growth across the Foundation’s digital channels and support our fundraising efforts.

The Digital Strategist will use their extensive experience to analyse performance and provide strategic insights to optimise digital campaigns and platforms to strengthen the Peter Mac brand and increase fundraising revenue.
In addition, this role will lead the introduction of new digital initiatives to generate results and enhance efficiencies.

Skills

Essential Requirements Experience:
•    Degree in marketing, communications, business or similar
•    Minimum three - five years’ experience in a similar digital role
•    Demonstrated experience leading and managing digital marketing strategies.
•    Demonstrated knowledge of online marketing tools, website analytics tools, SEO, and social media platforms.
•    Demonstrated experience working collaboratively to deliver multichannel campaigns.

1. Develop, maintain and adapt a digital strategy which aligns with the Foundation’s goals and fundraising objectives and supports a cohesive digital experience for our audience. •Conduct an annual audit of the Foundation’s current digital activities and platforms to identify opportunities for growth.
•Collaborate with stakeholders and teams to assess opportunities to enhance digital activities, identify process improvement and introduce new initiatives.
•Regularly undertake competitor analysis to identify industry trends, best practice and emerging digital marketing technologies.
•Utilise audience data and behavioral insights to develop a data-driven approach to the development and implementation of the digital strategy.
•Review the Foundation’s Strategic Directions to translate the Foundation’s strategic goals into actionable digital initiatives.
•Establish clear key performance indicators across fundraising programs to measure the success of digital tactics and campaigns
2. Drive digital transformation initiatives •Engage with the fundraising programs to ensure that digital initiatives align with their program’s objectives.
•Collaborate with stakeholders across the Foundation to integrate digital strategies into broader organisational efforts.
•Work closely with stakeholders to optimise donation processes and online giving platforms to enhance donor experience.
•Work with teams to review and help manage data flow between systems to ensure accurate audience segmentation and data integrity to deliver targeted, personalised communications.
•Work with the Digital Specialist to explore opportunities to enhance brand visibility online and boost audience engagement.
•Collaborate with the Digital Specialist to ensure digital platforms are fit for purpose.

•Work collaboratively with Peter Mac colleagues to ensure insights are shared more broadly with the team to inform digital initiatives across the Foundation.
4. Provide digital support to the Fundraising and Philanthropy programs    •Provide digital subject matter expertise to fundraising projects across the Foundation to ensure best practice and alignment with digital strategy.
•Provide timely and effective contributions that meet the Foundation team’s needs and supports the digital strategy.
•Work with the Digital Specialist to foster and promote collaboration across teams to improve efficiencies across digital initiatives.
•Collaborate with the Digital Specialist to ensure platform users across the organisation have sufficient training.
•Maintain strong effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
5. Other Duties   

•Understands and complies with all relevant legislation and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
•Attends, participates and contributes to relevant professional development and training opportunities.
•Support the fundraising team during functions or events if/when required.
•Undertake other duties, which are appropriate to the level of the position.
