About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Grade 2 casual dietitian to be based within the Nutrition and Speech Pathology Department of this specialist cancer centre.
We are seeking dietitians with a minimum of 2 years acute hospital experience (not including student placements), with preference to those with oncology experience. This role is not suitable for new graduates. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about working with people with cancer (and their caregivers), have demonstrated leadership skills, are hardworking, adaptable and have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
About the Team
A structured and supportive supervision model is provided in addition to opportunities for accessing mentoring and professional development. We have work available between March and June 2026 and therefore looking for someone with availability a minimum of 2 days/week and up to 3 or more days/week; with further work available from July 2026 onwards.
About you
The successful applicant will provide evidence-based specialised nutrition and dietetic services to inpatients and ambulatory patients in a multidisciplinary care setting at the Peter Mac Melbourne, Moorabbin and/or Box Hill campuses. This position is not linked with a specific clinical workload, however the successful applicant will work in/across major tumour streams, including head and neck, gastrointestinal and/or haematology, as negotiated within the department. This includes seeing patients across the entire trajectory including patients from all tumour streams and undergoing all types of cancer treatment.
