Fixed Term, Full-Time – 80 Hours per Fortnight with Monthly ADO

Are you graduating in 2025 with a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics? Do you have a passion for working with people affected by cancer?

We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated new graduate dietitian to join our Nutrition & Speech Pathology Department in a 12-month full-time Grade 1 position. Based at our main Melbourne campus, this role will commence in January 2026.

In this position, you will deliver clinical nutrition and dietetic services to both inpatients and ambulatory patients as part of a multidisciplinary team. While not assigned to a specific clinical workload, the successful applicant will rotate across all major tumour streams, gaining broad exposure to a range of clinical oncology areas.

Eligibility Criteria:
• Completion of a Nutrition and Dietetics degree in 2025 (including those progressing directly into relevant postgrad study, e.g. Honours)
• DA membership and APD status (or eligibility for APD status)
• Applicants expecting to complete their degree by the end of 2025 (pending final results) are also eligible to apply

Position Summary

To provide a comprehensive nutrition and dietetic service to inpatients and ambulatory patients with a range of cancer diagnoses, with the support and supervision of an experienced dietitian as required, consistent with the goals of the Department. This role may also include involvement in Department quality, education/training, projects and research as directed by Head of Department/Senior Clinicians.
