YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE

 

Grade 3 Dental Assistant - Casual

 

The successful applicant will become an integral part of the dental oncology team and provide exceptional care for patients of Peter Mac. Experience as a dental assistant in a hospital setting is favourable. Exceptional communication skill, ability to work within a team setting and the ability to work collaboratively with the broader medical and allied healthcare teams is essential.

 

This position is a casual role with a requirement to be available for up to three days per week during between March and June 2025. The position primary report is to the head of dental oncology and more broadly to the clinicians and staff within Peter Mac.

 

Remuneration as per Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025 - Dental Assistant Grade 3 (DY18) $34.49 (plus applicable casual loading) dependent on candidate experience. To be discussed with Hiring Manager.

Skills

Essential Requirements •    Certificate in dental assisting
•    Clinical experience in dental assisting (more than seven years’ experience)
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced and often demanding clinical setting
•    Forward planning
•    Experience with reception and administration skills, bookings, liaising with dental laboratory
•    Experience in managing a diverse range of patients and providing an excellent patient experience
•    Experience in managing and resolving complaints
•    Experience in resource management
Desirable Requirements •    Experience with surgical dental assisting
•    Coordinating clinical orientation for new staff
