- 12-months Fixed-Term, Part-Time position (parental leave coverage) - 45.6 hours per fortnight.
- Up to S44,669.04 HS3) - $49,383.36 (HS25) per annum base salary - Full-time equivalent pro-rated for part-time.

About the team
The Autologous Transplant Service is part of the Parkville integrated Clinical Haematology Service. Our service is the largest in Victoria and second largest in Australia. We pride ourselves as world-class specialist autologous transplant service that provides evidence-based approach to treatment choices, delivered by a highly effective multidisciplinary and supportive care team. The Autologous Transplant Service are looking for an experience Data Manager to oversee the management of the autologous transplant database.
Reporting directly to the Clinical Lead, Autologous Transplant Service, your role will see you:
- Responsible for the maintenance of internal database through the utilisation of various electronic medical record systems, and by attending relevant departmental meetings
- Ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency, which is crucial for reliable analysis and decision-making.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of patient records and information, both verbally, in writing, and electronically
- Assisting with data-related aspects of audits, research projects, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide data management support to the team for both clinical outcome data and volume tracking, responding to data requests from health staff in a timely manner
About you
- Experience in Data Management
- Familiarity with completion of web-based forms
- Competent use of RedCap and Microsoft Office programs in particular excel or similar databases

Position Summary
The Autologous Transplant Data Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the clinical team by overseeing the management of the autologous transplant database through meticulous and prompt data collection and entry. This position involves active participation in multidisciplinary meetings within the autologous service, alongside the upkeep of both internal and external databases, as well as the facilitation of internal and external audits. Moreover, the data manager will offer invaluable data support to service members by conducting quality and research analysis to ensure the highest standards of care.

- Accurately entering patient data from various sources (e.g., medical records, clinical trials) into designated databases. .
- Creating, validating, and maintaining autologous transplant databases, ensuring their security and compliance with data protection laws
- Maintenance of internal databases through utilization of various EMR systems, and by attending relevant departmental meetings
- Extracting and manipulating data to generate reports for researchers, clinicians, and other stakeholders.
- Ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency, which is crucial for reliable analysis and decision-making.
- Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect sensitive patient information from unauthorized access.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of patient records and information, both verbally, in writing, and electronically.
- Adhering to relevant data protection regulations (e.g., Data Protection Act) and ethical guidelines for handling health information.
- Working closely with other members of the haematology team, including clinicians, researchers, and other data managers, to support data-related activities.
- Assisting with data-related aspects of audits, research projects, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participating in training and professional development activities to stay updated on best practices and emerging technologies in data management.
- Addressing data-related queries and issues from various stakeholders.
