YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE
Grade 3 Allied Health Informatics Clinician
-    Ongoing, Part Time Role (16 Hours per Fortnight)
This is a permanent Grade 3 Allied Health Informatics position at 0.2 EFT. 
 
This exciting position is open to staff from the following Allied Health professions: Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Nutrition, Speech Pathology, Exercise Physiology, Social Work, Music Therapy, Art Therapy or Spiritual Care.
 
This position works in collaboration with the Director of Allied Health, the Chief Allied Health Informatics Officer and Allied Health Managers, to provide a comprehensive program of Digital Health capabilities including but not limited to staff education, optimisation of processes for efficiency, evaluation of new initiatives, introduction of new technologies, EMR reporting and analysis of other data sets. 
The role will also build new relationships, with a particular objective to scale the work of Allied Health into other areas of the organisation as appropriate. 
You will also provide leadership and support to all Allied Health Therapy Department members in digital health education/training and professional development. 
 
Applicants need to have proven knowledge of EPIC, including build and reporting, proven quality improvement experience, be highly proficient in excel, great communicators and relationship builders. You'll also need a minimum of 7 years of clinical experience in Allied Health.

Remuneration as per Medical Scientists, Pharmacists and Psychologists Victorian Public Sector (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025. Year 1: AK1 $106,386.80 (full-time equivalent – to be prorated for part-time) to Year 4: AK4 $123,905.60 (full-time equivalent – to be prorated for part-time) dependent on candidate experience. To be discussed with Hiring Manager.

Essential Requirements 
  • Minimum 7 years clinical experience in Allied Health
  • Proven knowledge of EPIC, including build skills and reporting

2. Teaching and education

  • Develop and coordinate the Digital Health capability uplift required for AH Therapies and Language Services staff
  • Scale education to broader audience as required
  • Attends, participates and contributes to relevant seminars/conferences/special interest groups/other continuing education as appropriate
  • Continue to support staff in EPIC personalisation, efficient ways of working

3. Quality improvement activities and service development

  • Embeds evaluation into change
  • Introduces new technologies into clinical care, with appropriate evaluation
  • Identification of risk/issues
  • Liaises with AH and LS Managers to identify areas of potential improvement, develop processes and protocols to measure/improve systems as agreed, promote best digital health practice activities and implement evidence-based practice
  • Contributes to the development and review of relevant policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Maintains and develops relationship with relevant Services and Departments
4. Research and projects
  • Develop, promote and contribute to evidence/best practice activities and research that lead to improved outcomes for patients in consultation with Discipline Manager/Senior Team
  • Contribute to raising the profile and position of AH Digital Health
